300 Obstacle Course (Vereeniging)

Cost: Adults R80 All Day Access / Children under 12 R50 All Day Access / R450pm Unlimited Membership (Open Course & 300 Obstacle Fitness)  

Operating Hours: Open Course on Saturdays and Sundays 07:30-12:30 & 300 Obstacle Fitness on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 17:30-18:30

Obstacle Variety: 17 obstacles that are diverse in nature and designed for preparation for any obstacle race & general fitness.

Access to Running: Our purpose built 1km sprint course is designed on an old 4×4 course so it includes both flat sprints, hills and spruit crossings which is ideal for building the lungs and challenging yourself. Participants can run as many laps as they wish allowing for any distance to be covered and access to additional 2-3km trail running outside facility.

Unique Obstacle: “Leonidis” is our largest and most brutal obstacle, with numerous challenges. It is a 24m in length upper body and ultimate grip tester with different obstacles in either direction.

How long has it been open to public: Since November 2016

Personal Trainers: Group fitness classes takes place Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 17:30-18:30

Other Facilities: Full facilities and in close proximity to driving range and Ocean Basket.

What we asked the Owner…

What’s your idea behind Obstacle course training as opposed to other means of training?

It is a pretty well rounded methodology of training that includes, building strength both upper and lower as well as developing aerobic endurance.

Do you think its a lasting business in SA?

Health and wellness will always be a lasting business and people are looking for something different to challenge themselves, be it for fun or their sport of choice.

What does the future of the sport hold? 

Obstacle Course Racing, both recreational & competitive will continue to grow and evolve 

What type of people does your venue cater for?

We cater for OCR athletes, fitness enthusiasts, family gatherings, birthday parties & team building. Many of the obstacles also have 3 divisions to cater for all levels of ability and fitness
